Governors complaining loudest about stimulus money are from high-poverty states.

In a ranking of state poverty rates, with 1 being the lowest and 50 being the highest:

Republican Governor Haley Barbour's state of Mississippi is ranked 50.
Republican Governor Bobby Jindal's state of Louisiana is ranked 49.
Republican Governor Rick Perry's state of Texas is ranked 46.
Republican Governor Mark Sanford's state of South Carolina is ranked 42.

These are four of the Republican governors who have publicly stated that they will not accept stimulus money for their states. Need I say more about where the Republicans really stand when it comes to struggling families? I think this pretty much speaks for itself.
